WhatsApp is currently testing a disappearing message feature on Android which it hopes to install in the near future.
The feature is currently available on the latest app update for Android users, albeit in its Beta form.
According to WhatsApp its latest feature will automatically delete messages from private chats as well as group chats after a predetermined period.
The new feature will be optional and users will be given the luxury of deciding whether or not they would like to have it operational on any given chat.
WhatsApp has also determined that it’ll allow users the option of one hour, one day, one week, one month or one year before a chat is automatically deleted.
Finally, when enabled a small clock will appear in the corner of chat bubbles to indicate that the conversation will be deleted after the preset period.
For group chats this feature will only be available to the administrators.
