The Kansas City Chiefs Come From Behind To Win The Super Bowl After 50 Years
The Kansas City Chiefs seemed to be headed for defeat after trailing the San Francisco 49ers in the first three quarters.
However, the Chiefs managed to turn the game around and end up victorious by 31-20 points at Super Bowl LIV.
The Kansas side managed to score three touchdowns within five minutes of the final quarter in order to achieve the come from behind victory and secure their first title in half a century.
The most instrumental player in breaking down the 49ers defense and closing the 10 point gap in the third quarter was Patrick Mahomes.
At 24 years of age he was named Super Bowl LIV’s Most Valuable Player, making him the youngest post-season MVP ever.
Despite being in control for a majority of the game San Francisco’s quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, was forced into a series of bad plays by the Chiefs’ defense leading to their victorious rally.
An interception from Kendall Fuller with 57 seconds left to play secured victory for Kansas City and earned head coach Andy Reid his first-ever Super Bowl Championship.
