Meghan Markle has landed her first role since her and Prince Harry chose to step back from their positions as senior members of the British Royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex will now be a part of a new documentary that’ll be available on Disney+, Disney’s new streaming platform, from April 3.
According to Disneynature, Meghan Markle will be the narrator for their series “Elephants.” The “Elephant’s” documentary will cover the journey of the African elephant Shani as well as her son Jomo as they travel across the Kalahari Desert with their herd.
The project has been in the works for more than 4 years. Initially, Meghan was meant to take part in the documentary however due to her engagement to Prince Harry she had to step-back from the entertainment industry.
According to the Disney release, Meghan recorded the voiceover for the documentary during the previous Autumn season.
Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, have both been supporters of the ‘Elephants Without Borders’ organization for a long period of time thus far, hence her involvement in the documentary.
Disney has confirmed that this will not be the platforms sole affiliation with the Duchess of Sussex.
