The Clara Lionel charity foundation recently announced that it had donated $5 million towards assisting those who’re aiding coronavirus patients.
The foundation, which was founded in 2012 by the superstar singer Rihanna, will use the money it’s donating to provide communities with testing equipment which is currently unavailable for a lot of people.
Due to the foundation’s beliefs that, “It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, this pandemic will affect us all…” as well as their belief that, “For the world’s most vulnerable, the worst may be yet to come,” Clara Lionel will provide its aid to countries in other continents as well.
Countries such as Malawi and Haiti will receive funding for their local foodbanks, testing kits for their people and protective gear for their health workers; all of which will come courtesy of the Clara Lionel foundation.
Currently, the foundation has donated to multiple relief efforts of which two are World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and the American Foodbank.
