Popeyes Chicken Burger Gives Restaurant Brands International A Strong Quarter

Popeyes’ famous, much-loved and highly sought after chicken burger has seen Restaurant Brands International (Popeyes’ parent company) close out a strong fourth quarter.

The Chicken Burger which consists of a buttermilk battered and breaded white meat filet, topped with pickles and a choice of mayo or a spicy Cajun spread and served on a toasted brioche bun sold out within two weeks of its introduction.

After making its “biggest product launch in the last 30 years” and completely selling out stock, in November when the chicken burger returned to the Popeyes menu its influence was could not be denied.

In a statement discussing the financial results of the previous quarter the CEO of Restaurant Brands International, Jose Cil, referred to the sandwich as “a game changer for the brand in every way.”

Cil added that “the traffic driven by the demand of the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich helped drive growth in our entire menu.”

The large success of the brand has also led to more people looking to open their own Popeyes franchises.
