Netflix Makes Several Documentaries Available For Streaming On YouTube

20 April 2020

In order to assist students and teachers without access to their platform at home, Netflix has made some of its documentaries available for streaming on YouTube.

Given that classes have now been moved online due to Covid-19, and that in the past teachers often used documentaries on Netflix to teach their students in the classroom, Netflix has been generous enough to ensure those in need can continue to learn at no cost.

On the Netflix US YouTube channel students and teachers are able to view 10 different documentaries.

Netflix has made 13th, Babies, Chasing Coral, Knock Down the House, Our Planet, Abstract, Explained, End of Sentence, The White Helmets and Zion all available for streaming.

Each of the documentaries have their own educational resources attached and Netflix is planning on going a step further and adding Q&A’s with each of the projects’ creators in the near future

Although the documentaries are currently only available in English, Netflix will add subtitles in several different languages before the end of the week.
