Jeff Bezos Adds $12 billion To His Net Worth After A Strong Quarter
Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, added a few more billions to his account after Amazon beat Wall Street’s expectations for the fourth quarter.
The company stock soared more than 11% in extended trading.
Bezos currently owns more than 57 million shares in the company, according to securities filing from earlier this month.
The CEO saw his stake rise by $12.8 billion as stocks moved up to about $219 per share in extended trading.
Amazon reported earnings of $6.47 per share and $87.44 billion in revenue for the quarter.
Analysts’ expectations were that it’d be $4.03 per share and $86.02 billion in revenue, according to Refinitiv.
The sharp rise after hours makes Amazon the fourth trillion-dollar company by the market cap in the United States.
Apple, Alphabet and Microsoft have already crossed the threshold.
