Facebook is currently doing everything it can to ensure that the time spent at home during the coronavirus lockdowns is bearable and isn’t entirely spent without friends.
On Tuesday, the company launched a new feature for its Instagram app which is referred to as ‘Co-Watching.’
The new Instagram co-watching feature allows the apps users to browse through Instagram with friends over video chat and share saved, liked and suggested photos and videos with each other in real time.
Facebook recently shared that its main priority during this period is to ensure users do not feel the need to jeopardize their safety due to loneliness.
The new co-watching feature is similar to one introduced last year April by Facebook as well. However, the watch together feature for viewing Facebook Watch videos which was previously introduced operated on Facebook’s Messenger app.
