Ford Announce That The Mustang Mach-E Is Sold Out
Ford has announced that orders for the ‘First Edition’ of its all-new electric Mustang SUV have been closed.
When unveiled in November 2019, the First Edition Mustang SUV was introduced as the ‘Mach-E.’ On the day of the unveiling Ford also began taking $500 refundable reservations before the vehicle makes its debut towards the end of the year.
The starting price for the Mustang Mach-E is said to be around $45,000.
The Mach-E GT Performance is the most expensive model and is expected to cost about $60,000.
According to Ford the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance models will get an estimated 459 horsepower from two electric motors, one powering the back wheels, the other powering the front.
Over 80% of the people that have made an order of a Mach-E to this point have opted for the extended range battery, which Ford says can give the car up to 300 miles of range.
The standard range version will run for about 239 miles.
Ford executives have also stated that besides the upcoming SUV, Ford is also developing an all-electric version of the F-150 pickup.
In order to have the greatest impact, the company is starting its electric vehicle roll-out with models tied to its most famous brands, Mustang and F-150.
The company will still be taking pre-orders for other versions of the crossover, including premium and GT, according to a press release.
