Elon Musk Says “You Don’t Need A Degree To Work At Tesla”

According to Tesla Motors’ CEO, Elon Musk, it isn’t imperative that you have a college degree in order for you to work at Tesla.

Musk has been using Twitter in order to recruit workers for the Tesla artificial intelligence team.

In his tweets he’s attempted to entice workers even further by sharing that the artificial intelligence team “reports directly to me [and] we meet/email/text almost every day.”

In response to a Twitter comment Musk made it very clear that “a PhD is definitely not required.”

He stated that all that he requires is someone with a “deep understanding” of artificial intelligence.

The CEO went as far as stating, “I don’t care if you even graduated high school”

It was in an interview with Auto Bild, a German automotive publication, that Elon first shared his perspective on employability.

In the interview he shared that “there’s no need even to have a college degree at all, or even high school.”

The candidates that he looks for simply need to have “evidence of exceptional ability.

And if there is a track record of exceptional achievement, then it is likely that that will continue into the future.”

However, Musk did add in his following tweet that in order to qualify for the role candidates would need to pass a “hardcore” coding test.
