Asian History Is Made At The Oscars

A new door seems to have been opened for Asian actors following the latest Academy Awards triumph of the “Parasite” movie.

During this year’s Oscar Awards the Asian Film, “Parasite,” took home four honours, one of which made history.

“Parasite” became the first non-English film and first South Korean film to win best picture at the Academy Awards.

The film was up against stiff competition from “1917” (a movie based on a period of war) and “Once…in Hollywood” (a drama based on the struggles of being in the film industry) for the illustrious award.

The remaining three honours that the film accepted were for best director, best international feature film and best original screenplay.
